Lord Stanley of Cake

I made this cake for Tim's 30th birthday party. My husband is the organist for the Pittsburgh Penguins, who just happened to win the Stanley Cup in June.

It's 8-layers stacked on top of an upside-down tube pan (to add height). There's also a large dowel rod in the middle to keep it upright.

Princess

I've been looking forward to making this cake since I first learned I was having a girl. I didn't get a good picture of it early in the day, so this is at night after the party (the back is completely gone in this picture). Unfortunately, the frosting faded in the sun from a nice bright pink & purple, so light pink and baby blue. She loved the cake, and now has a new doll to play with!

For the first year, my twins had totally separate themes for their birthday.

My 2 year old loves Veggie Tales, so here are Larry, Bob & a couple peas... Amanda

Tim's Birthday

This was from September, but I apparently forgot to post it. He got another baseball cake as his party was playing softball at the park with family & friends. The letters of his name are done in Pittsburgh Pirate style.
